Singapore tips

Singapore is well known as an economic magic. It is a very safe place for holidaymakers. Crime and violence is very rare over there.

Chewing gums are totally banned.
Singapore is also called “fine city”. You can get fined just for spitting on the lawn in a park.

Transport
– very convenient is underground transport also called MRT (Massive Rapid Transport). On the way from the Changi Airport, which is on the train line, I suggest you get off at City Hall and take a look at  Suntec Cityvery High Tech Buildings- there is also the biggest fountain in the world called  “Fountain of Wealth”. Then you can get on the MRT again and step off at Raffles Place, which is actually the main business center – skyscrapers. There you can enjoy beautiful view at Boat Quay - nice architecture by the river. Then you will need to get on the MRT again to get to a "must go place" that is called Orchard Road – shopping paradise and beautiful Hotels. Amazing architecture.  I suggest you go to Sim Lim Square (Bugis MRT station) where you can find hundreds of computer shops in one tall building. This is all what I wanted to mention about the city. However, I personally prefer nature and that green side of all cities :o)

Definitely "a must go place" while you are in Singapore
is green SENTOSA ISLAND, which is the most southern part of continental Asia.

It is a beautiful place to spend day or two. You can get there by MRT and get off at Harbor Front  and from there take a bus or get to Sentosa island by a cable car that enables a scenic view of the city. Among many tourist attractions definitely do not miss Music Fountain. It is amazing place where you can enjoy around 50 minutes long spectacular sound and laser show, which starts at 7pm and 8.40 pm (every day I suppose). It is free and it is recommended to have a video camera with you.

If you plan to get out of the city I would highly recommend Night Safari that costs around $  Singap 120  including transport, admission tickets and a buffet dinner. Exchange rate to AUD is almost 1:1 but you can get 123 Sing $ for 100 AUD in China Town from local Money Exchangers.

Another suggested places to go to are:  Crocodilarium, Crocodile Farm, Botanic Gardens, Birds Park, etc.

Have a safe journey and make the most of your stay.
